Hello dear community,

since I couldn't find anything through the search, I’m trying it here with a post to you.

I am currently trying to get an overview of houses or house types and their prices. By that I mean, for example, solid house vs. prefab house vs. Swedish house (which is actually also a prefab house) vs. XXX.

I am actually looking for the cheapest house type, without going into details. Simply in terms of building materials, time, prefabricated architecture, etc.

What building options are there actually? Maybe there are totally brilliant and cheap ways to build, but people don’t know about them because they aren’t so common. Do you have any ideas or know where I can find such an overview? Just generally.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards Seibelt

You will not find such an overview, as it cannot be answered generally. In the end, everything costs about the same. Price is determined by energy standard and equipment.

Unfortunately, you have to do that yourself, you want to compare dynamic systems (house with prices and technical features) rigidly, if the result is a house construction by you, you will never build. A house manufacturer regularly changes the prices and turns Bioöko into Bioöko+ and Bioöko+ blueLine. Every year innovation and changes and margin optimized. You will not finish, Best regards Nida

Hello,

thank you for your answers! So you can't say at all that a "normal" solid house is more expensive compared to an equivalent prefabricated wooden house?

If you want to drive most cheaply, the [Massivhaus] of a regional smaller company is probably the best way. And then as simple as possible, meaning a rectangular floor plan and no visual gimmicks.

Which variant goes fastest depends solely on which company has time for you the quickest, meaning how many customers are ahead of you. That is rather independent of the construction method.

You are also subject to the common misconception that a [Fertighaus] would be built faster than a "normal" house. It is assembled quickly, but you have to wait a long time before it even starts.

Better choose companies and go into concrete discussions. That’s how you reach the goal. Internet research brings very little. Unfortunately, that’s how it is.
