Hello,
We have had a new METOD Ikea kitchen for 3 weeks and problems with the oven (RUTINERAD).
The part made an extremely loud rattling noise when it heated above 200 degrees at the beginning. When the technician came, he taped something on the cooler because the part was vibrating and hitting the housing. That eased the worst of it, but now, one week after the technician was here, it rattles again, though much quieter, but continuously regardless of the temperature. If you press it against the oven, the noise disappears again. So, some metal is hitting again somewhere.
The technician said there’s nothing that can be done if it rattles like that because the device is simply built so cheaply. The noise is annoying, and we are not satisfied with the condition, and if it can’t be repaired, we would rather spend more money on a better one, just not from Ikea if they all are like this.
What do you think are our chances that they will take the oven back or exchange it for another one?
Best regards,
Timo
