Good day,
for my garden area I would like to set up outdoor lamps that brightly shine up the trees, etc. So that I don’t have to wire my entire property - I don’t want to destroy the lawn - I am looking for lamps that are autonomous from power sources in the house. Isn’t there perhaps the possibility to charge a battery via a solar cell, with whose help the lamp is then powered? I suppose the light beam will probably be low then. Are there other ideas, concepts in this direction...?

Best regards

Hello AJesse,
that we are increasingly polluting the planet with light is completely true. That’s why I want at least to prevent the worst and find an energy-saving solution for my outdoor lights. Light in the garden also increases the feeling of security, as it deters thieves.
So far, I have been laughed at because of my solar power idea, because supposedly the light output is too weak to illuminate anything with it. I had also already thought about LEDs, the lighting of the future. Your post encourages me to continue thinking in this direction. Thank you very much. But I am still happy to accept criticism and doubts :)
greetings to everyone

@ ajesse: Thank you for the important tip. I hadn’t even considered the aspect with the birds. It’s saved. I will go in the direction of a solar LED string of lights. I wanted to attach these in the crown. I have decided on that. So far, however, I have only found ones with 24 LED lights. Of course, I also need an appropriate length of the LED string of lights. Are there any ideas in this direction???

@ajesse: Motion detector completely slipped my mind. Of course, it should be there!!! Can it be connected to LED fairy lights if they are powered by solar? Or does it need a power source of 230 V??? That wouldn’t be feasible then... Now I want to create something environmentally friendly and the industry can’t even provide a solution.

Apparently, LED and motion detectors can be combined, just two examples from the corresponding Google list: Solar LED floor lamp 75 cm with motion detector & solar panel 2 W at Westfalia Versand in the lamps and lighting section in the Technica shop LED entrance light with IR motion detector - alarm accessories Motion detector with "reasonable" voltage requirements: motion detector, IR LX-910, 110 degrees 12m detection, 9-16V/28V, DC - alarm sensors A setup could be: - 12 Volt storage battery (model building accessories, lead battery completely maintenance-free) - 12 Volt solar charging station (panel and charging controller) - motion detector - a little logic to operate the LED chain with the 28V output Actually nothing magical...

Get yourself those cheap lamps that run on solar energy. They really only produce a little light, but they are so cheap that you can give it a try.
