Yes, then write what kind of windows these are ... top of the plan, not bottom of the plan.

And, what does Wohnwand mean? What is it used for? Dimensions, etc.

And kitchen space ... what is supposed to go into this storage room?

Island lengthwise in a 6 m room depth means from top to bottom:
- 90 cm passage
- 180 - 200 cm island
- ideally 80 cm passage before the dining area comes ... but that should also provide a passage towards the living room.

Get yourself an architect. A lot is wrong here. The kitchen will be a dark corner, the dining table is in the way. The WC and pantry should be on the interior wall...
Refrigerators that stand separately look somewhat odd. You also don't have individual tall cabinets.
And the space might be enough for a couple, but not for a family of six where cooking is done. Next time, some more information will help for a better answer.

Hmm I hope I understand it correctly. The windows/patio doors are floor-to-ceiling and 2.20m high.

We have an architect. I can’t imagine it will be dark. The entire front consists of floor-to-ceiling windows/patio doors. Unfortunately, the WC and pantry just fit that way. We have more or less gotten the maximum out of our building plot.

The dining table should still be okay like this, right (see 3D model)?!

So far, there are just two of us. Six people are not planned, rather four people later.

I have now created the two designs as a 3D model. The suggestion to place the island crosswise is actually not bad.

Crosswise:

First design:

It should actually fit with the island placed crosswise, right? The kitchen row will be a bit narrower and “cut through” by the door to the storage room, but the island would then have a width of 2.5m.

No, the patio doors are at the bottom of the drawing. Kerstin meant the windows at the top of the plan (= at the head of the plan drawing), that is, those of the pantry and the toilet, whether they form a ribbon window, in the sense of something with a knee-high parapet.

Ah, I see. You mean something like a transom window?! We had considered that once and then discarded it again. I hope that the floor-to-ceiling windows and the open space bring enough light into the kitchen.

Here:

but you are showing "planoben" window strips
Planoben = the windows in the wall at the top of the plan ... see red box:

By the way, I recommend you consider a sink island ... as a preparation area, as a buffet space, etc. Normally, one spends much more time on preparation and can at least look towards the large windows at the bottom of the plan. And not look at the wall.

Is exhaust air or recirculation planned for the extractor hood?

And yes, with the island crosswise you definitely have more space for the island and more space for passages around the table.
