Hello everyone.

I am new here and signed up for a friend who is not very good with forums.

The spring in his old door lock is broken. He has removed the lock case.
Apparently, it is quite an old model.

Since my colleague does not want to replace the door and frame, I thought I would ask here if anyone knows if and where replacement parts can be obtained, or what the technical name for this type of construction is.

We would be grateful for any help.

Best regards,

Florian

We also just had to replace a door hinge on an over-40 door. It's called a door hinge or cassette. I took the removed assembly to the hardware store or building supply store. Either you're lucky and they have something in stock, or it has to be ordered. We were also advised to ask local carpenters, as they usually remove the cassettes when replacing doors.
