Old aluminum front door - hinge is loose

Hello everyone, I have a question about an old front door. The upper hinge is loose and I want to repair it. As can be seen in the pictures, my predecessors have already used force there. if I see it correctly (this was the case with our old patio door) you can "knock out" the front plate downward or upward (carefully using wooden blocks as a base). Behind it are the screws that connect the hinge with the door (or the frame). Then tighten them firmly and secure with something (thread locker / glue?)

If the screws no longer hold, remove them, insert a new larger thread, and get suitable screws. Usually machine screws with countersunk heads. Good grip is achieved with Torx or hex drive.

Thank you for the tip, I will try that right on Monday and also take off the door for that. I can move the top hinge up and down a little bit. But then that's it. Maybe the screws are already pulled out so far and the little cover is undercut and the heads get stuck there. I will get back to you as soon as I know more. Best regards Ingo
