Just asking around, what do you think of the Philips Hue Aurelle in the [eckigen] version for the upstairs hallway?

Is that doable, or does something like that not work there? It’s also quite decent with 2200lm, I think.

Maybe someone has it and could share a picture or two?

In this case, I would simply take any random square panel, it then only costs about a third and produces the same light. Or does it have to be hue?

Well, since the Hue system is already in place, it would be great to include the ceiling lamp as well. Otherwise, I would agree with you, any other panel would do. I'm currently thinking about pairing the hallway on the top floor with the Hue sensor to be able to use the night light function at night, or rather the switching via sensor/Alexa itself.

Light with good light distribution, average CRI, lightweight, flat, well-made, worth the price, and satisfies the male urge to tinker. More expensive and cheaper options are always possible.

Yes, I was more concerned about the light output/distribution, or whether this type of lamp would suit a hallway or if it has more of a study/office/kitchen character. And whether one of this type would be enough. Possibly the 120x30cm version could even be an option due to the somewhat elongated hallway.

And yes, a bit of playfulness is allowed too, but only - as already mentioned - because Hue is already available.
