Hello everyone, I am currently absolutely despairing and unfortunately have no further ideas or approaches on how to deal with the following problem:
I laid the tiles in the bathroom at acquaintances. Before I carried out the work, I turned off the cold and hot water and removed the fittings, water meters, and faucets. Tiling work completed, everything reinstalled and the hot water works, but no cold water anymore. The faucet itself seems to be fine, as it can be turned normally. What is confusing is that there is also no cold water in the kitchen anymore. There is a separate shower room and everything is fine there. In the basement, there is no main connection (multi-family house) where everything comes together. I checked this in advance with the neighbor. The apartment is owned property. Are there usually plans for such things where you can trace the course of the water pipes?? I have the feeling that there might still be a central valve in the apartment that is responsible for bathroom and kitchen. How likely is it that this state can be caused by incorrect installation of the water meter

? What certainly cannot be ruled out is that the pipe was damaged somewhere when the tiles were removed, but I do not want to assume that. Meanwhile, the kitchen fitters were also on site, but they claim they did not turn anything off. I do not want to commission a specialist company in the current state, as they will probably make a "big deal" out of it. The worst thing about it: since there is no cold water, the only toilet does not work either!
I am infinitely grateful for any help.
