No, part of the moisture is recovered from the exhaust air. The heat exchanger consists of a membrane that allows water molecules to pass through. If there is a moisture gradient between the exhaust air and fresh air, it will be balanced (to a certain extent) via the membrane.

I don’t know if that is generally true. The difference is only in the heat exchanger (I think nowadays the enthalpy heat exchanger is practically standard). A controlled residential ventilation system costs 10,000 to 15,000 euros for a house, whether with or without moisture recovery. The actual price then depends on several aspects. If you choose a system type with moisture recovery from the start, the additional cost might maybe be zero :P?

As mycraft has already emphasized several times, with a controlled residential ventilation system without moisture recovery, you have very dry air in the house. We have between 20% - 22% humidity in winter, which is already very low.

And do you want to change anything about that, Master Keks?

Hi, definitely build with [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung]. We have already created several expert reports concerning mold that formed due to a missing [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung]. New buildings are simply too airtight, and ventilating is a tricky matter.

Yes, I am also working on the system. I am just not sure if it will be a system with moisture recovery.

As far as I know, you cannot retrofit an enthipial exchanger in the system. So we have to live with it.
