the second offer has now arrived and I am not sure about the installation, is this still timely:

Window renovation includes: dismantling and
reinstallation of the windows, foam filling of cavities,
sealing on both sides with sealant including structural content according to

This is still occasionally foamed today, especially during renovations, as previously no smooth coatings were required in order to use a compression tape. Today, this is more common in new construction.

Presumably, hardly anything else besides foaming is economically feasible. Reworking the reveals so that the compression tape fits adequately, including the drying time of the smooth coating – no one does that in an inhabited house. You can hardly live without windows in it for two days.
And when it starts raining, the chaos is complete. The sealant probably refers to the connection to the plaster, which is usually a black fabric strip that is then plastered over. This is also state of the art.

You can explicitly ask about the individual work steps again and say you definitely want to understand that.
But for now, I do not see any “botched work” in the offer text.

No, but you can (and do) chip off a few centimeters of plaster on the inside, install the window (foam it), and glue an internal window sealing tape. On the outside, use multifunctional tape. And then the rule "tighter inside than outside" applies. Restoring the interior nicely then falls under "painting work by the builder."

The fact that the plaster has to be partially removed and redone I considered self-explanatory, which is why I did not go into more detail. I believe we already agree on that.
