Update:
We have received another letter from the neighbor's lawyer telling us to cut the hedge. And once again, we have refused. Our reasons were preservation and nature conservation.
From when can you actually issue a warning to the lawyer for harassment? The situation hasn’t changed and he has been sending us pointless letters for 2 years. He should just sue if he wants something, right?
There is a funny side anecdote to the story, in my opinion:
The other neighbor (nicknamed "the captain") was now also supposed to be sued. His fence was said to stand way too far on the neighbor’s property. The captain replied: "That’s not my fence but yours – obviously, it’s on your property. Whatever fences you build on your land is none of my business."
Why do I always think of when I hear this story?
