Hello everyone

I recently installed a bathroom mirror with additional lighting in the bathroom. I also replaced the existing lamp with a new one.
The old one had classic incandescent bulbs, the new one is LED: Yafido LED 12W bathroom light 1000 lumens 50CM 230V 3000K.
Attached is the wiring diagram (left before, right after).
Now, after about a week, the new lamp broke, and the fuse blew.
Did I connect something incorrectly?

Regards
Chris

Short circuits don’t need a week to short circuit. Sounds more like there’s something wrong with the new lamp. Brown is practically disconnected – or how should the picture be interpreted? Red is the live wire? That’s actually not a common color scheme for multi-core cables. Does the lamp on the mirror turn on together with the other lamp?

Brown is disconnected.
The lamp on the mirror switches on with the other lamp, correct.

And does the red cable really come from the distribution box? Possibly try connecting everything to brown. Basically, not much can be wired wrong at first if earth, neutral, and phase of both lamps are connected together. Unfortunately, I can't help any further. Is it the fuse or the RCD that trips? The latter usually indicates moisture. But always remember: electricity makes you small, black, and ugly.

Is this an old building? "rot" is then the earth. Black the phase, gray the neutral conductor. Newer wiring blue the neutral conductor, brown the phase.

The later occurring fault can also be caused by operating another switch or a socket.

Take a meter and check there.

Red can be ground or live wire. The wiring is probably 50-60 years old.

The simplest explanation is that the lamp is no good and triggered the fuse when it failed.
