Hello,
we are about to purchase a house offered by a bank and it is being built by a general contractor, both contracts (land + construction services) will be notarized.
According to the offer, the house costs €430,000.
We understand that the property transfer tax will now be applied to the land and construction costs.
How is it with the 19% VAT on the construction costs from the general contractor? Is it usually included in the price?
When we requested some special wishes from the general contractor, these were offered with 19% VAT shown.
Is the general contractor allowed to show/charge 19% VAT on the special wishes?
Assuming we decide on an additional €40,000 of special wishes, should we expect to pay the 19% VAT PLUS the property transfer tax?
