Network cable defects

yo 1/3 of the price is probably reasonable. only half was delivered and the difference is the cost that you now incur to fix the defect yourself (buy switch, electricity for 20 years standby).

any "he has to deliver now" tricks only work if you pay for the trade separately and no money has been transferred yet (see above). with the general contractor including the electrician that won't work. or else look again if the cable can be replaced. he probably doesn't want to replace it because then he would rather throw through the same cable again than lay a new double one. and that of course doesn't work :)

yesterday we had a conversation with the house construction company. They offered €600 as compensation, previously they had offered me €500. They eventually decided to increase it to €600 - issue resolved..

I think you’re mistaken - verbal contracts do indeed also apply to private individuals (or do you write down your bread roll order at the bakery counter with a signature, and then receive it back countersigned?) - however, it is a matter of proof... If you get three bread rolls instead of two, you can complain on the spot, and that’s that - with power outlets it’s different...
