Hi everyone,
I don’t quite understand the legal texts or they don’t make sense to me, so I would be happy if someone could possibly explain it to me.
Our neighbor has put a 9m prefabricated garage on the property line, which is legally watertight. But since he has dogs, he will now put a fence on the right and left of the garage on the boundary. Is he allowed to do that or do I have to go along with it? I definitely won’t pay for it, because we want a hedge, not a fence. He might also want to even out the height difference between the properties with L-bricks, which doesn’t make sense to me with a difference of 20cm. Does he have to put these on his property or is he allowed to put them on the boundary?
And lastly, and unfortunately I have only found this so far for enclosures: Should he have notified us that he is placing the garage on the boundary?
For some this may sound like kindergarten (and it probably is), but we are currently quite annoyed that after years of “friendship” we are being faced with faits accomplis like this. The garage already restricts us a lot, and I would rather not make any further unpleasant compromises. Especially because we risk the next neighbor putting a similar concrete block in front of us on the gable side.
