Communication is everything! But in Germany, people rather talk with the garbage collector and co and cover themselves than chat with the neighbors.

Do you think so?
I come from the village, everyone knows everyone, everyone talks to everyone, there are just a few isolated troublemakers as always.

Maybe one has a different perception of oneself and is the troublemaker... sticking to the first example with the trash bins. If someone suddenly placed their bin in front of the house without asking me, I would be pissed too. Public ground or not; I helped pay for the street and at least want to be asked.

I can't read anything in your message that suggests a troublemaker [emoji848] That sounds more like "quirky," which he is - you can deal with that well, right?!

Let him be curious and different. I was also hopping over the shell constructions and told the builder who "caught" me that his shower wall was completely crooked (95 cm in front, 80 cm in the back) [emoji2]
Another woman looked a bit stingy too, because we came from her house. When we said that we already live here and built with her construction company, we were on a first-name basis [emoji6]

And if your neighbor annoys the workers, then they should send him off the construction site or put up a "No Trespassing" sign for you.

It's no longer funny and amusing. Many are annoyed. He has no respect for anything or anyone.

The signs are ignored. Many ask and look. That's also okay. It's about the how.

Well, even though I can fully understand your curiosity and interest (it's the same for me), you should be aware that not everyone finds it great if the whole village knows how one builds. Some may find that narrow-minded and incomprehensible, but it is basically to be respected, because the house rights belong to the owner. So you are committing nothing less than trespassing ... and must bear the consequences if someone does not appreciate your voluntary construction supervision ;-)

Personally, I wouldn't care, but you should know what you are doing....

§ 123 StGB Trespassing

(1) Whoever [...] unlawfully enters the enclosed property of another [...] shall be punished with imprisonment of up to one year or with a fine.

(2) The act is prosecuted only upon request.
