The ideal time is of course spring. Probably the best is around mid to late April. And then September to October. I don’t know what your temperatures are like right now, but for us it would still be quite possible now, mostly still double digits during the day.

How can you seal a distribution box that is going to be buried in the ground? The landscapers say it is cast with resin, but then I will never be able to access it again if I want to rewire something. Does anyone have ideas?

No, that is not possible. Due to the moisture in the can, it starts to sweat and condense. I could well imagine a heat shrink tube.

Why not use a box suitable for underground installation? For example, the well-known universal coupling.

Maybe we are allowed to name a brand: Friedl They are really reasonably priced and hold up well in the ground (personal experience). Available in different sizes.
