Honestly, only because of the land prices and the proximity to Frankfurt.. Is it really that bad in winter?

You're not serious now, are you?

That you decided on the condominium back then was okay. Everything else doesn't fit. As the sole earner, I wouldn't want to be in this situation. Your husband must be highly burn-out prone. Apparently, he can't keep up with the payments at all... oops:

An exception exists if the owner has lived in their house themselves within the last three years. In this case, tax exemption applies. Fortunately, that does not apply to us then

Yes, it is really that bad! You should definitely consider the infrastructure. Probably the car costs won’t even be covered. Better stay in the condominium, pay off your installment loans and build equity. Everything else is your downfall.

So normally, I also tend to be one of those who still consider some financing possible where others would have long shouted stop... but with you, income, ongoing loans, and house construction costs near Frankfurt really don't fit together at all! above all, there also seems to be a lack of reference to the amounts involved. Anyone who wants to build near Frankfurt with such an income (which would be sufficient for house construction elsewhere) cannot also shy away from selling, for example, their unnecessarily expensive car. If you were actually to build a house now, your sacrifices in the coming years would definitely be more than just not driving the dream car.

Especially since Schmitten is not near Frankfurt, it's in the deepest Taunus and gets cut off in winter. Hardly any young people. A colleague moved back because of this. One should really question why the plots are cheap there.
