Monoblock connection with heat conduction on or under the floor slab?

Hi.

My heating company has not dealt with the connections at all yet. For the floor slab, I now have to say whether there is a connection from the heat pump in the utility room through the floor slab to the outdoor unit (Mono). So laying the pipe (PUR insulated local heating pipe 130 from the manufacturer) under the floor slab or laying it on the floor slab within the insulation layer after the shell construction. What experiences do you have?

Option 1: Under the floor slab... In a 160 empty conduit? Or directly without empty conduit (connection pipe could be laid directly) The house entry would then be professionally done through the connection kit. The empty conduit would probably be a KG 160.

Option 2: Use the same insulated connection pipe from the manufacturer or a cheaper connection from the heating company? So uninsulated pipes up to the house wall in the insulation layer between the floor slab and screed?

I hope these are not too silly questions. Thanks.

Best regards Steffen

My general contractor wanted it to go through the slab by default. With the heating guy (not a subcontractor of the GC), he wanted it to go through the wall. Specifically above the finished floor. Then he could insulate it nicely himself. Advantage: If something ever happens with it, you can access it more easily. Through the wall (whether under the screed or above the finished floor) usually also means shorter pipe runs (you don't have to go 2 meters into the floor and back up first). The pipes are already stiff anyway, so how are you supposed to have proper insulation around the pipe? Well, you could foam the entire pipe. But that would probably be more expensive than core drilling through the wall.

Either with an insulated pipe under the floor slab (district heating pipe) or directly through the wall if the boiler room is directly behind it. But please do not lay any heating pipes on the floor slab.

Thanks. That’s exactly what I thought. The heating engineer initially had the idea to lay the pipe over 8m through the house on the slab in the insulation layer. The 10m district heating pipe will now be laid under the slab. The pipe has been ordered and will hopefully be delivered by the end of the week.

Would you have this already insulated district heating pipe, 130 diameter, installed in a separate conduit (160 or 200)?

Thanks. Steffen

We previously laid KG pipe here. Also through the floor slab. Then afterwards the pipe was pulled in and sealed. According to the company, it could also be replaced later in an emergency.

Please without a conduit. For this a) there is no reason (the pipes are designed for this) and b) in case of doubt, it will be nearly impossible to pull the extremely rigid cable through bends.
