I have now set up a whole buffet for last night: hazelnut in a snap trap, bread in another, chocolate in a live trap, and muesli bars in yet another live trap. None of it helped. At least the mice weren’t there last night. In any case, there were no signs to be seen. Apparently, the floor installer made so much noise that it probably got unpleasant for the mice. Now I have stuffed all the holes leading to the room with steel wool. Hoping that the mice will retreat outside due to the lack of food supply. What comes is must go out. :D Today there was a lot of noise and vibration in the house again. Let’s see what can be heard tonight. I don’t know whether to find it entertaining or a little creepy that you apparently had success hunting mice one after another. :D

When I read this here, I'm glad again for our 2 cats and the Jack Russell^^. Otherwise, those creatures are good for nothing, but apparently they are good for that .

No, our tomcat hasn't brought them in for a long time. When he was young, I always took the prey away from him, he's an extremely skilled hunter. Birds, reptiles, rats, mice, he catches everything. But then he stopped bringing the prey in, he eats it outside. I know this because I regularly witness it myself and the neighbors also tell me about it. Good boy. The other cat doesn't hunt, the dog theoretically hunts and digs for mice, but as far as I know, has never caught anything.

Hello Winniefred when I read that, it makes my blood boil. Occasionally a rare emerald lizard, now and then a kingfisher. The dear little fox. Steven

Well, for heaven's sake, he doesn’t check what species he’s catching. I’ve never seen him with anything rare. We live in the city, I’ve never even seen a kingfisher.
