Of course, you can get LED and halogen at the hardware store. However, I would opt for branded goods when it comes to LED. Some of our bulbs from Ikea are already defective, and even the ready-made lamps from the hardware store for the utility room and storage (noName product for 20 €) have already blown out in some cases. I personally make sure that light units (e.g., left and right of the mirror) always have the same bulb. There are quite a few nuances of warm white, even if the color temperature is stated to be the same. And I wouldn’t want to bet too much on the term daylight character ;)

When it comes to the colors shown, the color rendering index Ra plays a role and it is indeed true that the incandescent bulbs were very good. But if you pay attention to this when buying LEDs, you get very good light sources. No one complains that the Ra of fluorescent tubes is not good either.
