Make the lawn autumn/winter-proof

We wanted to scarify and apply fertilizer. In 2 weeks, we are going on vacation, then the lawn can thrive. Is it worth sowing seed again on problem areas or rather in the spring?

How old is your lawn now?

We aerated and fertilized the weekend before last. However, when aerating, I only set the middle depth level and, due to the density of the lawn, didn’t really reach the soil but mainly removed the old grass. Therefore, we didn’t need any seeds.

A little tip:
If you only have a small catcher basket on the aerator, then leave it off and later go over the lawn with a mower that has a large catcher basket to collect the debris; otherwise, you can empty the catcher basket every 3 meters. People underestimate how much comes out.
