Since June until now the ventilation has been running. And I had everything open over the summer so that it could dry out and off-gas (paint, adhesive, furniture...).
Basically, there is nothing against opening the windows additionally. Nevertheless, I have the feeling that there is somehow a misunderstanding about the purpose of the ventilation system here or that your system is not working properly....!?
The system is there to completely exchange the air inside the building within a few hours and to provide fresh air....! Opening windows can be seen as support and supplementation, but basically as "unnecessary."
Edit: Especially during the night hours, when all people are in their bedrooms, the continuous air exchange is a great advantage. Regardless of whether it is winter or summer!
