Because as an allergy sufferer, it is fantastic to live in a clean house during the appropriate pollen season. The first pollen are already on the way.

Oh yes, the allergy sufferer also goes out into the garden ;)

We have the Helios controlled residential ventilation EC 45 and for the house with 4 letters there are the twin filters from a seller called mir spar.. I will test them. Other buyers have had good experiences with this filter.

Since June until now the ventilation has been running. And I had everything open over the summer so that it can dry out and off-gas (paint, adhesive, furniture...). Actually, I would like to turn off the ventilation over the summer. Not a good idea?

Right, not a good idea. Run it on a low setting. Even on vacation. Otherwise, moisture condenses in the pipes and provides a breeding ground for germs and fungi. The horror stories of moldy ventilation systems probably come exclusively from people who wanted to save electricity and turned off the ventilation during vacation or summer.

Basically, there is nothing against opening the windows additionally. Nevertheless, I have the feeling that there is somehow a misunderstanding about the purpose of the ventilation system here or that your system is not working properly....!?

The system is there to completely exchange the air inside the building within a few hours and to provide fresh air....! Opening windows can be seen as support and supplementation, but basically as "unnecessary."

Edit: Especially during the night hours, when all people are in their bedrooms, the continuous air exchange is a great advantage. Regardless of whether it is winter or summer!

I just know that from before. Ventilate, ventilate .... And yes, I thought I could save electricity over the summer.
