Hello,

is there any advantage of the low drawers compared to the medium ones? (Apart from the lower price)

Unfortunately, I only stumbled upon the difference now during the assembly; the planning program selected the low ones for many base cabinets and tall cabinets.....

But for those, I can't install dividers, for example...

Therefore, I wanted to switch everything to medium-high drawers and return the low ones (all still packaged), is there any reason against that?

I am talking about the drawers with 20cm high fronts

I would really appreciate any tips

Best regards Simon

Hello
For me, it was the other way around. I planned medium drawers everywhere, and the planner also drew a medium drawer under the cooktop for me; I then had to exchange this for a low one because otherwise you cannot install the NYTTIG cover panel. Otherwise, as already mentioned, I have 2 medium-sized drawers (2x20cm) in the base cabinets everywhere and a large drawer (1x40) underneath.

Well, if you only have cutlery, napkins, or other flat stuff in there, then why use the middle ones

I think the 3 heights are good, better than before with only 2 options.

That is not correct, we have medium drawers under the cooktop with Nyttig divider and only 28 mm thick countertop. This works without problems, there is still a finger's width of space between the side ribs and the divider.

I only find low drawers reasonable if you want to get every last cent out of the kitchen or if 20 cm fronts are also to receive inner drawers. Then two low drawers come one above the other behind a 20 cm front.

For 40 cm fronts, the low inner drawer is also recommended, but I have also installed a medium one as an inner drawer there. However, with this one you have to grip from below to open it, while the low ones can also be opened from above with a handle in the panel. But that is not a problem for us and is the same with two low ones stacked.

So my base cabinets all have a large drawer at the bottom with a 40 cm front and above that 2 medium drawers each with a 20 cm front. The countertop is 3.8 cm thick. With such a cabinet it was not possible to install the Nyttig because the upper drawer was too high for it. Only when I replaced it with a lower drawer was I able to install Nyttig.
I assume that in your case the medium drawer under the Nyttig was mounted deeper so that it does not collide with Nyttig.

, identical setup as yours. From the bottom 40 large drawer - 20 medium drawer - 20 medium drawer with divider = fits for me. Can't set it lower, otherwise there are collisions with the drawers below.

But something occurs to me that might make the difference: Did you mount the bottom drawer differently than the middle and top ones? I mean the position of the front panel on the drawer - the bottom one has to be set deeper so that the front panel aligns flush with the bottom of the carcass (see screw positions of the two mounting parts that go on the front panel in the assembly instructions). Maybe that's why the differences occur, so it no longer fits at the top?
