With an elevated terrace, something like that can be easily solved with an irrigation system and drip hose. But it is rarely done. you probably mean with a reservoir, right? I would also recommend that more for container plants. It can be quickly filled with the hose and lasts a few days. Important when planning an irrigation system is that different areas and plants have individual circuits. Only in this way can the different water needs be taken into account.

What exactly do you mean by that?

Google for pots with irrigation systems, e.g. Lechuza Cube. They have a water reservoir from which the plants draw when they are established. Depending on how warm it is, you need to refill it regularly. Visible tubes bother me.

I can also recommend Lechuza! That way you only have to water every few days

Lechuza looks like an interesting system. Unfortunately, it appeals to me less visually than a simple terra cotta pot or something nicely glazed.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for the many infos.

I think we'll start with a pop-up sprinkler for the lawn and a water outlet in each of the two outer corners.

Having separate supply lines was a good tip.

Then we can expand there later if there is a need.

Would you put the water lines in empty conduits to be able to switch to other systems later, or to better replace broken pipes?
