Hello everyone! We urgently need ideas for a good floor plan...
Last week, we bought a plot of land with a slight slope. The plot is 582 m², about 19 meters wide, 30 meters long, and has a gradient of about 2 meters. We originally wanted to build a prefabricated house without a basement, but because we would have to fill in the ground, we would lose too much garden space. For this reason, we are considering building a solid house after all and using the basement level as living space. Since we actually want a townhouse with two full floors, but the development plan only allows one full floor, building out the basement would basically allow us to have two full floors (this is how it was done in the neighborhood). So basically it should be a "sunken" townhouse with a hipped roof.
From the street side, the house would look like a bungalow, and from the garden side like a townhouse.
Since we want to go directly out to the terrace from the living room, we would use the basement as the main living area. However, I’m already lacking ideas for the entrance area - which is of course on the ground floor. Guests would basically always stand directly in the hallway of our bedrooms and would have to go down the stairs first to get to the living area. How could this be best solved? A relatively open partition with a wardrobe?
In the basement on the street side - where there would only be light wells - only the utility room and on the other side the guest WC would be possible. The rest should be a large living/dining room with an open kitchen and direct access to the terrace.
Has anyone of you maybe built a similar house or have any great ideas for a floor plan?
What’s important to us is especially lots of light and a large living/dining room with direct access to the terrace.
Thank you very much!
