25km through rural areas is definitely doable, I’m currently driving 30km, which you can also cover without much stress. If the rest of the situation fits, I think it’s a good compromise that makes owning a home possible. Some friends who live in a big city and use public transport also need half an hour.

The 25km is doable. Especially since you apparently have no alternatives. The [Bauplatz Preise] will continue to rise. I would go for it. It won’t get cheaper: neither the [Bauplätze] nor the construction itself.

Thank you very much for your previous opinions.

Yes, it seems I have no alternatives. Since I come from the countryside, I have actually been used to long distances since my childhood and do not find them bad.

I believe one becomes uncertain when many of the colleagues live a maximum of 10 to 12 km from the workplace. But here there are always 1.5 to 2 full-time employees. Often there is also an inherited plot of land or something similar involved.

If I am ever too old for longer distances, I hope society will have aged so much that there are delivery services for just about everything ;-).

Rural with bus connections sounds good!

You shouldn’t eat where you shit. Meaning: you shouldn’t work where you live. It only causes trouble. This applies to police officers as well as any other public servants.

Well, then you combine the trip with shopping, etc.

I agree with the others. Grab it. It probably won't get any cheaper in this lifetime... We commute 50 km one way and still paid 640€/sqm. Unfortunately, we can only dream of prices under 200 here. So everything is relative. 25 km and 30 minutes seem totally manageable to me in my situation as well.
