Still very special.
In drywall construction, it is really hardly possible to install a suspended ceiling with acoustic function.
I have been looking for a clean solution for a year....

Here two requirements meet that should be addressed with a compromise. Sound absorption depends on a certain cavity above the suspended ceiling, an absorbing layer such as glass or rock wool, and an open-pored surface so that the sound can reach the absorbing material in the first place. In the gypsum area, there are only these perforated gypsum ceilings, which must be well processed to look good. Since you speak of a clean look, perforated ceilings will be out. I think an acoustic plaster system would be suitable for you. Check out the paint and plaster manufacturer with the yellow buckets and three letters on them. The surface is naturally not completely smooth, but slightly textured to get an open-pored plaster so that the sound can pass through. This plaster should not just be painted either, because otherwise you completely clog the pores of the plaster.

We installed an acoustic ceiling in drywall construction, using fine-pored boards and then painted over them so that nothing is visible at all. However, the effect is there; there is no echo in the living area at all, despite the gallery...

Unfortunately, I do not know the manufacturer.
