Thank you for your opinion, then it is mainly about the costs, I need to investigate these more closely

I read it here as if it is more about the practicality of such an effort in a basement.

So apart from the fact that I find the floor plan very questionable and would take another look at it.

In the hallway, you could probably halve it, to know for sure you would have to calculate how many lumens the spots produce and then we see how bright you want it. There are plenty of lists and calculators for that on the internet.

In the rooms, I would make it dependent on the usage. Especially in a storage room with high shelves, spots are possibly less in the way than LEDs in fluorescent tube form or similar. Here I would then also build it specifically so that there is light where later no shelf is directly underneath to absorb the light.

I don’t understand or share the forum’s "aversion" against spots (which you can also combine with something else).

I actually don't understand the hallway at all, the way it is. It's too narrow for a wall of cabinets or shelves. Why is there a corner bitten out of the room in the lower left? If you position the doors of the rooms differently, you hardly need it at all.

Don't be misled. I have implemented the spots throughout my entire house and would do it the same way again. And if you don't pay moon prices for your [Kaiserdosen], it's not a big deal price-wise either.

Um....if you meant me, I do not want to mislead anyone or talk them out of their dream. However, it is my well-founded opinion and after all, this is about the exchange of those.
