Thank you again, these are very interesting food for thought

Yes, it has, it was taken into account in the calculation. To be honest, I don’t really care much about the KfW bill, we’re not financing through KfW anyway.

Yes, that’s on the one hand a disadvantage. On the other hand, it’s actually quite practical to have a bit more room height. Especially because these two rooms are mainly used as storage/workshop. I actually find the noise issue more critical. Why should it travel through the whole house there?

No, except for the basement hallway, we don’t have underfloor heating in the other basement rooms. Sure, “more/better” is always possible, but at some point you have to draw the line. I’d rather invest the saved 4,000 euros (screed/underfloor heating) where I spend every day

The screed is laid floating so that the impact sound does not travel through the whole house. No contact with walls and floor. I don't know how you come up with your €2k savings for the screed, just for comparison we paid €5k for 210 sqm of anhydrite screed. Yes, we also don't have underfloor heating in 2 basement rooms but still have screed. If you want to save, then save by doing the sealing and insulation including the edge insulation strip yourself and buying the materials. It won't cost you more than €400 in materials. The screed will then probably be around €500-700. Then you'll have a reasonable solution.

Thank you for the food for thought, I think we will reconsider it, even though it wasn’t really planned

... with our general contractor it costs almost 1,000 euros per basement room depending on the size for insulation, screed, and sanding, that's how I came to the 2k€. Underfloor heating would be an additional +600-700€/room on top.

As I said, try to do it yourself, no joke after we laid the self-adhesive waterproofing membrane, my 8-year-old son laid the insulation (the boards, I cut them). 2 rooms are unskilled 1 day work.

Hello Markus. You asked a simple question and I will never understand why simple questions are answered in such a complicated way and far removed from the actual core question in a somehow (not effective) manner! Your question was: "Is it possible now, or do you have to wait a little longer until the concrete floor is more 'dried' or cured?" Answer: The concrete is definitely cured. Otherwise, the construction work would not have been possible. Since the leveling compound must be a cement-bound binder, drying times do not have to be considered! Just remember that the concrete surface must be cleaned by a grinding process, vacuumed of fine dust, and primed. Then the leveling compound can be applied immediately. And if you want to tile the floor, you may not need leveling compound and can lay the tiles directly in the medium-bed mortar if the surface is suitably even. But again: the concrete surface must first be freed of (unavoidable) fine sediments resulting from the concreting process by a grinding cleaning and primed. Regards: KlaRa

Thank you

Sure, it was (as so often) not the direct answer to my question, but the discussion still helped me. Just like your statement that the self-leveling compound could already be laid now.
