Something like this? Our guest bathroom, built in (still) 1988. It has lasted for 30 years and we also think it’s good (I didn’t take a picture of the golden heron this time).

I cannot see in the picture whether the glaze has been pulled around. I mean corner tiles that are rounded at one edge and glaze around the rounding. That existed 100 years ago.

Google "tw-Abschluss fliese" that’s what I mean.

Yes, exactly that. Or also very cheap, plastic. Depending on how much you want to pay.

That sounds pretty interesting for the living area. Because that's exactly the wood-look tiles you mentioned that we want to do there. We will probably take ready-made baseboards, either in the look of the tiles or white.

Interesting, I’m curious to see what our tiler will say. Of course, it’s possible that he doesn’t want to do precise cutting or something. Or wants to sell moldings. Were the baseboards painted with the adjoining wall color for you?

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant, you can see the cut edge on the upper horizontal tile. In my opinion, the tile at the tile studio was a bit thicker, so it looked even more high-quality.
