That sounds good. And have there been no problems with impacts against it (e.g. chipping, fraying, etc.)?
I also liked the appearance better than with a rail. Sure, there are also design rails in matching colors, etc., but that is quickly very expensive again.

With wall tiles, you will probably reach a height of 1.2-1.5 m, who is going to bump into that significantly? Our baseboards were cut from the floor tiles, are not flush with the plastered wall, and nothing happens there either

We only have rails vertically and in the window reveals, which are also covered with tiles

it should have said grouted, meaning there was a joint on the upper edge towards the wall. not from the joint material between the tiles, but I don't know if silicone or something else

On a cut baseboard, apply acrylic and paint it in.

There are also ready-made baseboards from tile brands. They have a rounded upper edge and ideally continue the decor on the curve. I would always recommend this if a tile baseboard is desired. (especially with wood-look tiles, I find that dreadful)
They do cost a few euros, but you save yourself the work of the tiler having to saw the floor tiles. Depending on the format, that is also a very uneconomical process.

I believe the meaning is that edges protruding into the room (e.g. [Vorwand], [Fensterlaibung], [Duschwand]) should not be fitted with moldings, right?

I’m also not a fan of moldings and would have preferred to do without them. But our tiler advised against that. 1. Sensitivity, 2. The edges have to be cut and positioned very precisely for it to look perfect. He also said it could look "cheap."

I had then hoped for a Jolly molding in a matching color, but unfortunately, there wasn’t any. So we had to take stainless steel. But I have to say it bothers me much less than I originally thought. It somehow looks quite normal and now I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

The baseboards in our place were simply finished with acrylic.

I think I have to ask the question of understanding, what exactly is meant here by "Leiste"? Aluminum/stainless steel profiles or what?
