Hello everyone,
first of all: there is no underfloor heating.
We have chosen a vinyl floor that will be installed floating. Currently, there is floating cork flooring in the rooms in question. In terms of buildup height, it would be good to lay the vinyl on the cork so that we align with the tile surface of the hallways.
The vinyl seller advised against floating on floating. Reason: Both floors could move against each other.
Now, the two materials do slide over each other, so I’m thinking: Even if they do, so what?
I am rather inclined to consider roughening the cork a bit since the two floors really slide well over each other.
So two questions:
1) Floating on floating ok?
2) If YES to 1), roughen or not?
Does anyone have experience with this and can say something about it? Or can an expert like [USER=28384]@KlaRa provide some quick feedback?
Best regards
