Hello,

at my house under construction, there is a large window front on one side measuring approximately 3.30 m wide and 5.50 m high (read from the plans, see photo).

According to the thermal insulation certificate, sun protection or privacy protection must of course also be installed here. There is no ceiling on the inside, it is a large gallery area. Do you have any ideas what type of sun protection can be installed there? With roller shutters, the total area would be too large, a Venetian blind would be too unstable and here too the area would be too large? A zip screen could mold in case of moisture? I would like to thank you in advance.

Regards

Hello,

that is already a lot of window surface
Maybe large slats (found at [SonnenLichtManager Fa. War....]) would be something for that? Basically a fixed, non-raiseable or lowerable venetian blind with still rotatable slats. But they certainly won’t be cheap.

“Normal” venetian blinds should still be possible though. A smaller pane will be added in the middle anyway. If you order it very dark or in black, another venetian blind could be hung in front of it. So one venetian blind for the large panes above and a separate one for below.

Which devil possessed you to get such a gigantic window front, why are you only now thinking about having to keep the expected overdose of sunshine under control (and why because of the "Wärmeschutznachweis" - not the proof, but you will become a prune and wear Ray Ban sunglasses all day long)?

You will probably only be able to shade such a part from the inside

Hello,

it only strikes me at second glance that huge square disc, estimated to be 2.80m x 2.80m, to the left!!

What kind of shading is involved there? What works at this width usually also manages another half meter of span.

How about a sliding window shutter with adjustable slats. Like a barn door for sliding. It then disappears into a masonry structure of the outer facade when not in use?

Sorry, but who planned this? You don't come up with that idea so late, do you? Nothing will work that easily. You can take a look at commercial buildings to see how they do it. Some have those kind of prefabricated metal constructions. Surely all astronomically expensive and questionable if it looks nice.
