I don't know anything specific yet, the consultant wanted to first draw the kitchen exactly as we want it, and then discuss all the details in an appointment. That's why I unfortunately don't know anything about the appliances yet, nor whether it's Systemat or Classic. But it's good that I already know that there is Systemat and Classic, I just looked up where the differences are ; ) I only know that the fronts are laminated. I wasn't really keen on that, but I was told that in Landhaus it would otherwise blow the budget...

Tip: do not specify a budget, consistently skip the question. Visit several kitchen studios, compare. Without concrete appliances, it’s guesswork - cooktops range from 200 euros to 1000 euros, even with Siemens. Foiled for 13T € feels expensive. We had an offer from Nolte, country house lacquer with Siemens appliances (good mid-range) for 11T €. For Häcker Systemat we unfortunately only planned smooth matte lacquer. If you now calculate 10% more for Systemat than for Nolte, lacquer fronts could already be possible for 13T €, depending on the constellation.

Looks good.

At first, I thought that 40 cm would be too narrow. My wife, the delicate creature, would have no problems with it - I, on the other hand, would have to suck in my stomach a bit. However, you do have a bit more space at the window recess and can also easily reach it from there for cleaning.

How often do you use your microwave? If you use it regularly, I would leave out the flap door on the compartment. It just stands open anyway or becomes annoying after a while. If you rarely use it, take the flap so you can hide the "microwave".

PS: If you use the microwave regularly - check how high it is placed in the cabinet. Does it match your height (possibly also the height of your children, as far as they already use it independently). A small example: My wife and I are both > 1.80 m. Accordingly, we have no problems with the elevated position of the microwave. Our babysitter is a bit (more) shorter. She needs the footstool of our children to reach the microwave.

Or specify the budget low enough to still have some room for upward movement. We played two kitchen studios against each other (I know - I am ashamed), which worked well since both were in different cities. We gave both a budget (with an implicit buffer of about 2,000 euros) and then always gave the other the (slightly reduced) offer of its competitor (which was always above the budget). In situations where they could not or would not move on the price anymore, the studios began to upgrade the appliance offers. When a great appliance (e.g. stove) was named in studio 1, we wanted the same in studio 2. Either they agreed or they upgraded the great appliance to a super-great appliance. We then named this again to studio 1. Thus, in the end, we were at about the same level with the appliances, but much better than at the start of the negotiations.

For us, the negotiations also dragged on over several months (we had the time and kitchen studio 2 - which eventually got the contract - was about 600 km from our home in the old homeland). This studio got the contract because my wife liked the countertop better, which studio 1 could not deliver. So dad had to shell out 850 euros more just because of the countertop than in studio 1.

Such things then render the entire negotiation strategy absurd again. But what can you do - if it makes the wife happy .

Hello,
if the page is not meant to be walked through, I would put a narrower floor-to-ceiling window there (only one element - it's bright enough anyway) and dock the island to the wall (peninsula). We did the same and are happy with it. Otherwise, you have lost space next to it that you will never really use and always have to keep clean.
But, as is well known, it's all a matter of taste.

Thank you for all the information. Regarding the price, I will really do it differently next time and either not specify one or give a lower one.

We also have the microwave like that in our current kitchen, and it hasn't been a problem yet ; )

I initially thought about a peninsula as well. But from the outside view, it fits better this way. And it is supposed to be a sliding door, so I need the 2nd element anyway so I can slide the 1st one in front of it ; )
