Kitchen island in practice

We decided against a cooking island. Otherwise, only a peninsula would have been an option, and we would have had less space.

But we do have a preparation island measuring 90x140, which is finally large enough to prepare pasta dough and strudel dough on. Have I mentioned that my husband is the best cook and does this with great dedication?!

I don't think your kitchen islands are that bad at all. But it looks like you have a lot of space. I seriously wonder what you are supposed to put all in there. I currently have a frying pan and a pot, and that is actually enough.

If you have to cook for 5 (and of course the fridge and pantry are also properly stocked and the corresponding dishes must be available) and the lady of the house is also a Tupperware enthusiast, then the space is gone very quickly
