Hi,
in a quite well-known, nationwide non-boulevard Sunday newspaper from today, 24.04.16, there is a very critical report about air-to-water heat pumps in the finance section (page 43). Many facts are mentioned that are certainly correct and may apply. Of course: specially incorrectly adjusted/dimensioned systems are cost eaters. We also had such a case in a distant circle of acquaintances. It could be fixed.
Nevertheless, I stick to what I wrote above. Everyone according to their taste.
Every builder must take care of their heating system. If I had not optimized my gas condensing boiler myself (with long study of the manuals), it would not work so well either. You have to observe and, if necessary, intervene yourself or with a specialist if something is not working properly. I also once needed help with thermal solar, which did not work well (the water was first cooled when the system started). Here the specialist helped to make it usable. I could not adjust it myself.
Best regards
Thorsten
