Yes, I wouldn’t be interested in district heating either. I can understand that. But the clause is clear. Proof according to PHPP must be provided = Passive House. 15 kWh/m² is the maximum value for Passive House, KfW 40 maximum is 25.

There is only one solution
Find a company that builds passive houses to standard and see if it is worth it

I’ll just ask, why does district heating not make sense? I’ve heard from so many how practical DH is. Maybe there are also other opinions against it.

District heating is usually (!) too expensive for low energy demand. I can well understand the topic creator here and would aim for a passive house. Depending on the building construction and floor plan, often not very complex. However, sometimes also very complex to implement. A PHPP-savvy energy consultant should be able to say.

It only states that the corresponding values must be achieved according to PHPP. PHPP (Passive House Planning Package) is merely a planning tool.

The requirement is therefore not "Build a Passive House," but simply "Build a house whose annual heating demand corresponds to that of a Passive House and prove it with PHPP." That can of course be a Passive House, but it doesn't have to be.

I think KfW40 should be sufficient. We are "only" KfW55 and have a heating demand of 19kWh/sqm.
