A friend of mine has a controlled residential ventilation system and gets annoyed every time the farmer next door spreads manure on the field... Then he has the whole stench inside the house! Because of the controlled residential ventilation system... Without it, you have fewer problems there. It’s just as problematic when the neighbors stoke the wood stove in certain weather conditions... That also stinks badly.... Closed windows are still best against outside stench. Especially if there is no one who can turn off the ventilation when it smells outside.

Best regards, Fragi

Well, controlled residential ventilation does help against the stale smell from the inside...

You see, there are advantages and disadvantages to everything...

Hi
possibly activated carbon filters can be used against odors from outside. For my central controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery, such a filter is offered as an accessory. Whether it is necessary will be shown in the future, the place is not finished yet.

Does airing keep the stale air outside? A controlled residential ventilation system can also be turned off in such cases! There are time programs, etc., so that is not really an argument. Besides, if I see in the filter what it pulls out, that just comes through when airing. For me: never without again

We also thought back and forth for a very long time (kfw70-Haus). Ultimately, we decided against it. (in the 2nd part of the video).. Of course, you can achieve this through good maintenance and cleaning, but these are costs we did not want to bear (a professional cleaning supposedly costs over 1000 euros).. Lacos
