KfW 55, Ytong 36.5 poorly glued, too much gap?

Hello,

we are currently in the shell construction of our KFW 55 bungalow.

Since the sun was positioned very favorably today, we saw several gaps in the masonry. In some places, the sun shines completely through.

We therefore examined the joints more closely. Hardly any joint is properly sealed. We can insert the blade of a pocket knife 2-4 cm almost everywhere.

The site manager's statement was now.... "the plaster will take care of and seal it".... 2cm outside and 1cm inside.

We deliberately chose a 36.5cm stone with Lambda 0.09. Am I correct in understanding that if the stone is not completely bonded, the insulation value decreases significantly? The stones are not properly connected... horizontally and vertically....

Best regards Olaf Mayer

All good!

Bricklayers are coarse motor skills workers, not fine technicians; with the perforated brick, the gaps would be even larger because they shrink differently during the firing process

Rhenish greetings

Yes, but then I only have 2 cm insulation (plaster) and the 36.5 cm stone are redundant....am I completely wrong to think that?
