I repeat my mantra also in this thread: I personally advise against unfilled bricks. Use perlite-filled ones or, if that is too expensive for you, mineral wool, you will thank me! I have the 42.5 unfilled... I would never use it again for soundproofing reasons. And as my predecessor already said, pay attention to the soundproofing of the windows, they should match the bricks.

Yes, of course. Adding two more rows in series to a resonator cascade can only be counterproductive if you want to insulate sound.

Well, if you live absolutely quietly and have quiet neighbors, soundproofing to the outside is pretty much irrelevant. In all other cases, unfilled bricks are not recommended. And no matter how often someone claims otherwise here: no, it’s not just the windows; in my case, even windowless wall sections are quite sound-permeable to the outside.

Otherwise, the air-filled brick is of course a good choice if you don’t care about soundproofing.

As is already known from other threads, soundproofing or noise nuisance is very individual. We currently live on a busy street and always have the balcony window open in summer. It has never bothered us. On the other hand, there is a playground :-) Now we will also live on a busy street, but the house is further away and the bedrooms face the garden. We are using 36.5 cm unfilled bricks.

Yes, then do as you think … but don’t be surprised if the lawnmower from the neighbor gets on your nerves … we live very quietly … but everyone basically has neighbors. Just go and take a look at the stone beforehand, lift it up, knock on it from the outside … It’s simply beyond me how anyone can seriously recommend something like this to a builder these days.

You won’t believe it, but we were even in a house built with 36.5 cm brick beforehand and visited it at a time when the neighbor’s lawnmower was running. You could hardly hear anything and it didn’t bother at all. Besides, there are also the interior walls. They are also built from 17.5 cm brick and not drywall. They also block a bit more. So please don’t get upset about something like that
