Dressing room, storage room, pantry, wardrobe, guest toilet - none of these need three-quarter brick walls. Neither are bedrooms. And typically a wall that I would have made one and a half centimeters thinner - with gypsum boards.

In my opinion, an important statement, because as with all other matters, it is necessary to examine the individual situation in advance. Our former house had 35.5cm Poroton bricks on the street in the settlement, and the topic of noise would never have occurred to me as relevant. Now we are building the same way, also unfilled, and the house is at the end of a dead-end street. The same applies to noise inside the room; here too, one should always check the individual situation to determine which requirements the very own lifestyle entails or does not entail. It depends on so many parameters that no general recommendations should be given; not even on the subject of soundproofing.
