Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with Isarholz windows. Currently, I am interested in the INO-HA80 MM model.

Basically, the key data are actually very good. Ug value, concealed fittings, flush surfaces inside and outside. Even the sound insulation value of 34 is good.

I have actually found comparable versions mostly with very high-priced providers like Josko and Internorm.

Since there are considerable price differences here, I am a bit uncertain whether the quality might be significantly affected.

Thanks for the help

Unfortunately, we do not know your house since you only appear here as an individual question asker. You can read my two cents as a former window manufacturer and later dealer on the topic of wood-aluminum windows here via the keyword search ("Holz/Aluminium", "Holz-Aluminium" or "Index" - written by 11ant). Wood-aluminum windows are basically either more expensive than those made of pure aluminum or, in my conviction, inevitably cheap junk, and there are aluminum windows with excellent wood decor laminations. Besides, I strongly advise purchasing through the installer!

Thanks first of all. I have read the comments and yes, they are more expensive than aluminum, which is also okay. Personally, I am not a fan of foiling, but that is certainly a matter of taste. I don't want to compare aluminum with wood/aluminum but rather get an assessment of the manufacturer. I obviously source my windows directly through the window installer who installs them. However, the difference between the offers is about 25% higher for Josko than what is asked at Isarholz. I doubt that the window installer is making huge margins here, so this is more due to the equity of the windows for the installer. I am aware that Josko is prominently featured in every glossy magazine and that comes with its price. Hence the question whether anyone has experience with Isarholz and would like to share it. Since windows (in my construction very many and large-scale) are an important element, I would prefer not to buy a pig in a poke, but the price difference is really very high. Thanks for the information

What does your window installer say about that?

Well, I wrote out the windows - every window manufacturer of course promotes their product that they offer and that is rightly very subjective. But yes, when I ask him, he says all top.

, I would, in your place, make use of this opportunity to speak concretely with a window specialist about the object to be fitted with windows. Leaving out the providers below the "pure aluminum" price is already a good start. At the time, we decided on Pax AG, exclusively for wood-aluminum and for wood (and for further providers with other materials). Our top priority was simply to maintain our reputation as a dealer (all materials) with customers at the level we previously had as a manufacturer (only pure aluminum), at least in the premium segment. For PVC, we were in the segments "premium" and "economy," but never discount either. After all, we also entered the commercial sector starting from aluminum. It isn’t a matter of taste insofar as how one visually assesses the product in everyday life. Tactilely, nothing screams "fake!" and even if you fiddle with and sniff the windows: they never smell of freshly cut wood. I advise you from the perspective of a dealer who used to be a manufacturer, who saves you exactly the part of your money for which you get nothing but a higher price. As I said, we decided for Pax AG, not against Isarholz or Internorm. However, we did not consider Josko at all because of their prestigious appearance. We never wanted customers for whom it is primarily important that their tax advisor looks up to them as a (comparatively) poor slob. However, we gladly drive "just" Mercedes instead of Maserati, and anyone who wants may see that as a matter of taste.
