Is the dream of a home realistic with our financing?

If a net income of 3200 and equity of 20000 are too little for a house including land, I seem to be in the wrong forum here. After deducting all living expenses, we have 1700 euros left. A payment of 1000 euros or more would also be no problem.

It will heavily depend on the house - but even I am skeptical at €3200. Building a house has apparently become expensive. How big is your dream house?

3,200€ is not that bad at all. But as others have already told you, building a house has really become expensive.

Equity of 20,000€ is practically zero, since you need more for additional costs. As BeHaEIja already writes, how big is the house supposed to be?

The desire already fits with the income on a slab foundation, I think (construction expert can always do that better and more precisely) - if you had said 150 sqm with a basement now, many would probably have rolled their eyes. I would, as practice, set aside 1100 € for 3 months before buying (so an additional 650 € to your cold rent) and see if that works and how it feels to live with it.
