I would like to bring up the topic again because I have seen houses where the solar system is mounted on the house wall. In one photo, the system is even flush with the house wall. Has anyone done something like this before and is it profitable with an air heat pump? Visually, I could well imagine it flush with the house wall, since due to the high side of the shed roof above the upper floor we have a high wall without windows and this would be somewhat interrupted here.

Solar thermal energy on the facade is better than on the roof because in summer the sun does not shine directly on it and in winter, at a low angle of incidence, the sun shines much steeper on the panels than on the roof. Additionally, this preserves space for photovoltaics. However, solar thermal energy is generally not worthwhile. At most for the ecological conscience, but even there there are better alternatives.
