We have now seen our Q2 plaster for the first time today. I was positively surprised. I didn’t know 100% what to expect. We just brushed the utility room with primer and painted it white. Let's see how it looks when it’s dry. If necessary, we’ll go over it again, but I can leave it like this.
Judging by how the plaster looks, I think I’ll just paint the hallway white as well, unless we get the whole house done by a professional.
The only spots that are a bit crumbly are very rare, and you can easily smooth them out with your finger. I’ll work on those without a machine; it can be done by hand. And patch up a few small holes here and there. But all in all, the wall is smooth enough for me as it is. Apparently, I just don’t have particularly high standards.
Anyway, you can definitely wallpaper over it without any problems. As long as you don’t use thin, paper-smooth wallpaper, that shouldn’t be an issue.
I’m attaching a picture (hallway).
