Is paving a parking lot outside the building boundary allowed?

I was informed by the building authority that it is possible

According to the description, I could imagine that the ditch also borders an interior area, a parking space outside the building boundary would drain into it, and so on. I see it that way in theory as well. But in practice, nowadays there are very many building plots under 400 sqm, where you then talk about three meters less house width, whether the dog is allowed in bed or not.

This is not about you and your property. Ah, yes. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that would speak against paving your "yard" and placing something there, as long as the floor area ratio is not exceeded.

I would rather not hijack the thread with my own question, but since the topic is already resolved for the OP, I’ll take the liberty :)

We have a 7.5m long garage on the neighbor’s boundary, which starts directly next to the entrance area.
Now we would like to generously cover the entrance area, and thus the entire space in front of the garage (garage width), with glass, preferably with a depth of 2-2.5m.
A smaller depth of 1.5m would not provide enough coverage for the area in front of the door and would only be slightly cheaper than the 2.5m depth.

Would one have to assume that the 9m boundary construction rule would be exceeded in this case or are there possibly exceptions for such a case?

I would assume yes for the time being. You can possibly realize something like this by obtaining the neighbor's consent.

Thanks for the tip. Getting the neighbor's consent shouldn't be a problem at all; if it were up to him, we could even roof over 5 meters :) In such matters, I just try to avoid "waking sleeping dogs" at the authorities and know from others that the motto "no plaintiff, no judge" has proven itself quite often in the community. Hmm... I still have to weigh it up and obtain the neighbor's approval beforehand :)
