Hello everyone,

it's about the following..
The fences in our development area specify a maximum height of 0.80cm for my property (purple border).
Now it is the case that the entire side (red marking) would theoretically be open, and there would be a clear view of my garden.
Is there any way to circumvent this, so that one can have a privacy screen there that does not have to be 5.0m away from the street?

Bebauungsplan:
Einfriedungen

Along the public road traffic areas, fences are only permitted up to a height of max. 0.80cm.

The same applies to the adjacent property areas up to the front building boundary, but maximally up to a distance of 5.0m from the road traffic areas.

Thanks in advance

The flower makes the garden - not the fence

Plant a hedge or something similar and wait until the development area has settled in? If the greenery is nice and grows eagerly, it will (hopefully) bother no one. And until then, you'll just get to know the neighbors and street life ;)

That is certainly a typographical error, which I do not see as requiring a change to the development plan. I do not see any judge objecting if you instead install a 0.80 m high fence, as it presumably was meant.

Take an old long railway carriage. Great use as a garden house and legal, since it is parked mobile.

Is there also a protected area there, e.g. a terrace or just a "margin strip"? Terraces should be equipped closely with privacy screens/planting, as protection works best when close by. For children's play areas, it hardly matters whether you look at them or not. In the unique corner location, at least you get to talk to the neighbors :) Otherwise, there seems to be no other solution.

A curtain construction is also conceivable. It is not permanently installed and can simply be pulled closed / installed when needed. A few taller stabilized fence posts, steel wire cables, and a nice tarp....
