We have nothing against Kiel either and would preferably stay here as well. It’s just that the job market here is bad. Of course, it depends on the profession. Of course, building a house in Kiel is cheaper, which makes such a decision to move away all the more painful. But it’s no use being stuck with the costs here because you lose your job and can’t find a new position.

Irina, don’t get worked up. First, look for work in Hamburg and commute in between. Then you’ll know what you earn, whether Trittau, Bargteheide, Quickborn, Uetersen, or even Buxtehude (Airbus!) fits better. Then act. One thing at a time. And if necessary, you might also find something in SH that fits and you can stay in Kiel-Eck-RD-or HL, which is 1000 times better than Hamburg. Because if you are SH people, never forget: where we are is the top. K.

: That's right!

The only downside: The very high daycare fees in S-H.... in Hamburg 5 hours are free

Otherwise, take a look at the website Bauland Schleswig-Holstein.e.G. and the website of Landgesellschaft SH. K.

2,000 euros/sqm usual? Where is that supposed to be the case? There’s probably an extra zero. Of course, the land price makes the difference. Here in the KS/GÖ/PB area, the plots are affordable, average land in the center 80-90 euros developed or further out into the villages and this price halves. Even further towards the Thuringian border and we get into the 20s range… you’d have to build very pompously to break the 400k. But well, it’s just not Hamburg.

I obviously meant house construction prices, not land prices…
