: Not even main items were listed to the OP on the invoice. I find that a bit cheeky. If at least main items were listed, he could compare them with the offer and somewhat assess whether the deduction is justified.

Good that the OP only has a partial payment and not a partial invoice at first. And with partial payments, usually only a percentage value is indicated. Public clients also usually do not like it that way because, according to VOB, the verification is made more difficult. But it is quite common.

And whoever agreed a lump sum price with the OP will be able to have the final invoice look like this according to VOB:

"Based on the contract dated __________ for the provided

service __________, the agreed lump sum price is

charged."

The client has no legal claim to a detailed invoice here.

The question is whether the OP wants to put up with the hassle with the electrician.

The question is whether installment payments were agreed upon. Otherwise, partial invoices are allowed, but no advance payments. What is customary is on another document....

Hello everyone,

here are a few points to possibly clarify the whole thing a bit.

[*]the whole thing is referred to as a partial invoice in the letter
[*]nothing of the sort was agreed upon
[*]in the offer I originally received, the items were each listed with an individual price (e.g. FRUP socket €60.30)
[*]according to my rough calculation, items from the original offer amounting to at least €1500 have been fulfilled.

I was just puzzled by the form of the letter and the fact that this was not agreed upon.
Regarding the payment term, I once read something about 18 days online, but that probably referred to a different matter.

I was also surprised about that back then. Only that I found the invoice amount far too high. If you think the service roughly corresponds to the invoice amount, just pay and save yourself the trouble. The payment term is basically fine, if no installment was agreed upon, it actually cannot be demanded. What does your [Bausparvertrag] say about that? Have you decided on the construction company from Weinböhla? (I looked through your old threads)

Partial invoices are also permissible without a corresponding agreement.
